Been on the hunt for a solid portable winch for a while now, mainly for personal and home use, I’ve checked out a few popular options, but I keep wondering if there are other good models or setups out there that I just haven’t come across yet, doesn't have to be anything massive or industrial, just something reliable that can handle regular woodland work without being overkill. Gas or electric are both on the table as long as it’s practical to move around and set up quickly
Thanks for your recos in advance

Have you considered capstan style winches? they're incredibly versatile for woodland work since you can vary pulling force just by adjusting rope wraps. What's your typical load range and anchor situation? so you can narrow down whether a dedicated portable frame or a PTO driven setup makes more sense
