Anyone heard of Lancer bars & chain?

Yes, it's Lancer not Laser. I met a guy who runs a local saw shop & he was telling me that's what he sells. Says that a professional logger got him hooked up with the distributor in PA. Says it is a Canadian company, but I can't find anything about the name anywhere. I'd like to know something about the product before buying it.

Thanks, Drycreek

Haven’t heard of Lancer bars and chain before. If the shop has a box or label, can you snap the part numbers and the pitch and gauge info. I’m curious if it’s a Canadian brand or just a distributor name.

isn't that the guide bar (the long metal blade) and the cutting chain that wraps around it.
usually referencing specific professional grade or specialized types like STIHL's Laser or Oregon's similar low vibration chains, designed for smoother cutting with less vibration by angling the cutters back

I've met him, but not been to his shop. We were talking about me doing some electrical work to upgrade the lighting in his shop.
