What's everyone been up to this spring? I have been MIA myself, but returned today to see little to no activity here. Let's get some conversation going? What tree species are you guys working this spring?
I began a dead ash removal project for a wealthier client last week. Today as I was working my way through it, I got a 6" x 2' chunk of ash that ricoched off a rock ledge and slammed me in my chest. Couple broken ribs. I will be checking the forum more often now, probably for the next week or so. After the week, I am probably gonna get too restless to sit around the house all day, and I will probably get back to felling if I am feeling spry enough.
Be safe out there fellas. Don't take the "easy" trees for granted. I haven't been at it as long as some of you guys, but I've been in the industry over a decade. Complacency kills. Got a bad bounce today, but there a couple things I could've done a little differently to avoid this incident.
