first day bushel cutting on the coast i'm beat

Shoutout to everyone who's tackled this! I just cut 5,000 boards today and I'm beat. The ground's tough, the hike's a trek, and those mosquitoes are relentless. Still trying to get the hang of the reds

Got any tips or stories? I'd love to hear them
 
Yeah, a tough job, but it really comes down to the type of timber. A lot of crews have made the switch to a day rate claiming it's safer. I heard that Oregon was still doing busheling when they were last working in northern California. Fallers were trying to hit about 18-22 mbf each day
