My wife’s family owns a few acres of natural forest land on her property.
Last night, lightning struck a tree near our home and split it. The hanger is hanging over our driveway.
I have a few chainsaws and use them, but this hanger stumps me. I want to drop it safely.
I’ve never done this before, so I’m confused. What should I do to fix this? Some tips and advice would be awesome

Call a tree service, hanging trees kill more loggers than anything else. Lightning damage makes the wood unpredictable and that hanger could drop without warning. If you absolutely can't wait, work from the side never underneath, and have an escape route planned. But seriously, this isn't a DIY job when it's over your driveway lol
