I just got my hands on a used Clark 664 for a little timber project. The winch works like a charm, but, man, that brake just won't hold when there's a load on it. The bands still have some life in them, the drum's looking clean, and the cylinder's been serviced, but it still slips when I try to hold it steady.
I'm not ready to dive into a full rebuild just yet, I really just need this thing to get through a few more loads. Any quick fixes or workarounds that could help me out?
