Movie thread, what’s your go-to comfort rewatch?

Quick community question for the Logging Forum. In the USA in 2026, everyone’s got that one movie that works every time, whether it’s a comfort watch, a nostalgia pick, or just something you can throw on and enjoy without thinking.

What’s the movie you can watch on repeat and never get tired of, and what makes it rewatchable for you? Action, comedy, old classics, anything. Bonus points if you also share the movie you’ve tried to rewatch but it never hits the same the second time.

Airplane, Stripes, Top Gun, all of the Scream movies, Scary movies series, National Lampoon movies example Chevy Chase Vacations etc. Anything with Bill Murray or John Candy makes me laugh. I want a movie to make me laugh, life can be stressful.

Dances With Wolves. I figure if I watch it enough times maybe the Native Americans will win. Beautiful country, beautiful music.

I’m still new here so I don’t have a ton of forum stories yet, but my comfort rewatch is The Fugitive. It’s just clean and tense and I can drop in anywhere. I tried rewatching Joker and it was good, just not something I want to sit with twice.

Sometimes A Great Notion!!! Old Henry Fonda at his best and it's a movie about logging and loggers..... top shelf. When his cuts through the bankers desk with a new Mac it's good.....''duh, that was my Daddy's desk' )))
