Timberjack 230A questions

My brother is trying to figure something out with his Timberjack 230A.

He's got 18.4x34 tires on it now, but he's been thinking about swapping them for 23.1x26s.
His main goal is to get more stability on the hills he's working. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Will that tire swap actually make a difference, and is it worth the effort? Any thoughts or advice would be a huge help.

Yup, going wider should keep things steady on hills. If you're mainly worried about hill stability, this change is a smart move. That wider base and lower COG is going to be a big help.

Yeah, the wider tires will give better flotation and can help a bit with stability, but you’ll lose some ground clearance and gearing will feel different, for me I see it as a trade off
