My Winter Logging Haul

Well, the weather finally broke, and unfortunately, that means I'm stuck out of the woods for getting any more logs for a bit.

So, I figured now's a good time to talk about what I actually managed to get done last winter.

Right now, I've got a pretty solid stash, all the logs are stacked up on three different landings.

The plan is to get that first big pile cut, split, and stacked whenever the weather actually cooperates. The rest of them will have to wait until fall, but hey, at least they're out of the woods!

Last I counted, I had a good 150 logs all ready to go.

Just wanted to share the progress! Anyone else got their winter firewood chores wrapped up, or are you still out there battling the elements? Any pro tips to make this all easier?

150 logs is no joke for real, using old pallets for stacking right at the landing can be great and saves a bunch of hauling until you're ready to move it closer

Nice job getting that many logs ready!! Youre thinking smart, better safe than sorry. When you get back to splitting, keeping things organized and using a good splitter makes a huge difference. How do you usually stack your wood to keep it dry and ready?
