On long bucking and splitting days I love the work, but my brain still needs something to keep the pace fun. I’m curious what everyone listens to while you’re running a saw and moving rounds, especially because you still need to stay sharp and not get too distracted. I also feel like hearing protection changes the whole game, sometimes music is great, sometimes it makes me feel a little too relaxed.
A specific moment was last weekend when I had a pile to work through and I started with a podcast, then switched to music halfway because I needed a bit more energy. It was satisfying finding that rhythm where the day just moves and you stop checking the clock. What do you all run for audio on a long day, and do you have a favorite setup that lets you hear what you need to hear while still keeping it enjoyable?
