What do you listen to while running a saw and splitting wood?

On long bucking and splitting days I love the work, but my brain still needs something to keep the pace fun. I’m curious what everyone listens to while you’re running a saw and moving rounds, especially because you still need to stay sharp and not get too distracted. I also feel like hearing protection changes the whole game, sometimes music is great, sometimes it makes me feel a little too relaxed.

A specific moment was last weekend when I had a pile to work through and I started with a podcast, then switched to music halfway because I needed a bit more energy. It was satisfying finding that rhythm where the day just moves and you stop checking the clock. What do you all run for audio on a long day, and do you have a favorite setup that lets you hear what you need to hear while still keeping it enjoyable?

Sometimes country. (There is a good classic country station near me.) Sometimes Pantera. (Kind of fits the work.)

Common setups we see work well are muffs with built in Bluetooth, or standard muffs with a single earbud underneath if it still seals right. Volume stays low, and you want something you can pause instantly with gloves on. If you are around other people or equipment, most will skip podcasts and go music only.

I like to listen to the saw, splitter and the wood. There is a lot that can happen that I don't want to mask.
